Emilie read law at Merton College, Oxford, where she was an Exhibitioner.  Having achieved a first class degree, she went on to obtain a distinction in the BCL.   

 

After leaving Oxford, Emilie took the Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School.  A member of the Middle Temple, she received a Diplock Scholarship during her Bar School year and was awarded a Campbell Foster prize for her performance on the BVC.

 

Emilie has also spent three months working as a Judicial Assistant to the Court of Appeal.

 

Emilie is instructed across a broad range of Chambers’ areas of work and has a particular interest in professional liability, general commercial, construction and insurance work. 

 

In the field of professional liability, she has experience of claims involving solicitors, insurance brokers, construction professionals, estate agents and managing agents. Emilie’s construction practice has recently involved appearing as a junior in a multi-million pound trial over several weeks in the Technology and Construction Court. 

 

Emilie also has a significant Chancery practice and is regularly instructed by major lenders, particularly in mortgage related litigation. 

 

She has experience in both the County Courts and High Court and is frequently instructed in a range of trials and interim applications.
