Tim has a broad commercial practice with particular experience in three primary areas: claims against professionals; general commercial litigation; and construction and engineering disputes.
Tim has experience in the full range of claims brought against professionals and regularly acts for both Claimants and Defendants. His cases often involve solicitors, surveyors, accountants, insurance brokers and investment professionals.
His commercial practice covers a variety of contractual disputes and, additionally, Tim has experience of advising insurers on policy and coverage issues. Having worked in the Financial Services sector prior to coming to the Bar, Tim is also often involved in commercial litigation between financial institutions and claims involving the FSA.
With his strong scientific and technical background, Tim is also regularly instructed in construction and engineering related litigation and has been involved in disputes between employers, contractors and sub-contractors along with claims against construction professionals.
Prior to joining chambers, Tim read chemistry at Magdalen College Oxford obtaining a first class degree. After leaving Oxford, Tim worked for 2 years in the technology department of Goldman Sachs in the London, New York and Hong Kong offices.
