Profile

Nicole studied law at Balliol College, Oxford where she took a first. She joined Chambers in 2002 having developed a successful practice at the Chancery commercial bar. The majority of her work falls within the general categories of Chancery and property litigation, mortgage fraud, commercial litigation and professional liability. She also takes on work in the Chambers' practice areas of financial services and securities realisation, insurance and reinsurance and international practice. 

Nicole's property practice covers all aspects of real property. She has particular expertise in mortgage related litigation, including major fraud, equitable interests in property, adverse possession, easements, restrictive covenants and conveyancing problems. Nicole also has considerable experience of advising on and litigating disputes regarding charities, trusts, wills, probate and the administration of estates, lifetime gifts and powers of attorney.

Her commercial work incorporates most forms of contractual disputes in both a domestic and an international context, insurance, corporate fraud, financial services, banking and construction. She has a niche practice litigating National Lottery syndicate disputes. Her professional liability work extends to all her areas of practice.
