Since joining chambers in 1995 after a brief spell as a legal academic, Nicola has developed a strong practice which covers professional liability, construction law, commercial litigation and employment law.  She brings to her cases a keen analytical intellect coupled with a clear sense of her clients’ commercial and practical interests. 

Within professional liability she has extensive experience of claims involving construction professionals and lawyers. Her professional liability expertise extends to claims against accountants, financial services professionals, insurance brokers and valuers.    

Her practice also includes pure construction work (acting for employers and contractors), employment litigation (both in tribunals and in court) and commercial litigation including insurance, contractual disputes and sale of goods disputes. 

She is a member of the Professional Negligence Bar Assocation and the Commercial Bar Association.
