Profile
Paul Parker is a specialist in professional liability claims involving accountants, financial services professionals, lawyers, insurance brokers and construction professionals. He has substantial experience of appearing before disciplinary tribunals.  He does a variety of general commercial work, particularly computer contracts and insurance law. His trial work in the recent past has covered areas such as:

• judicial review (pensions)
• wasted costs (barristers and solicitors)
• taxation and business incorporation advice (accountants)
• high-value commercial and residential property valuation (surveyors and valuers)
• lost litigation claims, property and probate-related claims (solicitors)
• hotel and factory design (architects and engineers)
• sale and supply of complex programmable industrial machinery, and computer software (general commercial).

Paul relishes the challenge of advocacy and is known for his tenacity. "I work hard to attain the trial barrister’s ideal: complete mastery of a brief, control of the evidence and the ear of the court. I revel in difficult cases where there are obstinate witnesses or dogmatic experts to be cracked."

Paul is listed as a leading professional negligence junior by The Legal 500 and Legal Experts.

The Directories
Paul is recognised as a leading recommended junior in the field of professional negligence:

• In surveys on the Professional Negligence Bar conducted for The Lawyer in the late 1990s Paul attracted remarks such as "a Young Turk …" (!!) "… who is excellent at pleadings" and consistently "well thought of".
